Friends, join us Thursday, February 15th for the 2024 season premier of FAM—a salon for artists & creators in film, fashion, art, music, and media.

This month we’re featuring David & Robert Perlick-Molinari of YouTooCanWoo & Toucan Sounds.

We'll explore David's sonic rebranding of the iconic NBC jingle to co-producing MGMT's debut EP, "Time to Pretend." We'll also discuss Robert's career as the artist behind French Horn Rebellion (alongside his brother David), as well as Toucan Sounds' label head.

Don't miss this dynamic duo and a special performance by Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue.

🏡 Hosted at our beautiful loft in Williamsburg, 57.

🎸 After the talk, we'll have a musical guest Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue.

🤝 FAM aims to bring together friends in the creative industries for an intimate evening of conversation, connection, and community. Hope to see you there.

Please RSVP early as space is limited. As always, feel free to share with like-minded creative friends!

About David Perlick-Molinari:

David is the founder of YouTooCanWoo, a music and audio company located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. His unique approach blurs the conventional boundaries between musical composition, sound design, and mix engineering, and centers storytelling.

David’s diverse body of work extends from creating the audio identities of major brands like NBC, ABC, Peacock, Paramount+, MTV, and Spotify to scoring, sound design, and ATMOS mixing for projects such as the Spike Jonze executive-produced “Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life,” which earned the coveted audience award at SXSW.

In addition to an impressive portfolio of commercial endeavors for brands like Apple, Nike, Mercedes-Benz, and IBM, David co-produced MGMT’s debut EP, “Time to Pretend,” and co-founded the group French Horn Rebellion with his brother Robert, embarking on extensive world tours. He has done official remixes for mainstream artists (Beyoncé, Sia, Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark), and mixes/production for indie-dance favorites (Sofi Tukker, The Knocks, Purple Disco Machine). He further writes, records, produces and performs with music groups inside his studio’s label of emerging artists (toucan sounds – DJ Mag nominated for best breakout label of the year).

About Robert Perlick-Molinari:

Robert is Brooklyn’s dynamic force of artistry - an all-in-one artist, producer, vocalist, and label-boss. He’s a founding member of French Horn Rebellion, head at toucan sounds, and an in-demand behind-the-scenes writer & producer. As an artist, DJ and live performer, he has travelled 5 continents, amassed 100’s of millions of streams, tapped to make official remixes for Beyoncé, Sia, Two Door Cinema, and has done productions for Purple Disco Machine, MGMT, Autograf and more.

His label, toucan sounds was nominated as ‘2023’s Breakthrough Label of the Year’ by DJ Mag, in large part due to his grassroots collaborations with some of Brooklyn’s best underground talent. Many of the collaborations are centered around YouTooCanWoo - the music production company and studio space that houses the label.

About Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue:

Called a "modern classic in waiting," by MixMag, Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue is the solo project from Eric "Doc" Mendelsohn. With a funky, tongue-in-cheek vibe, the project explores themes of vice, ego and heartbreak through tragic characters who can't help but get in their own way. Since releasing his debut self-titled EP in 2018, he has emerged as a key voice in the Nu Disco Dance Scene, doing collaborations with Yuksek, Severino, Jean Tonique, Jacques Renault, Babert, and more.
